When it comes to holders for collectibles several materials are available, each with a slightly different set of characteristics. These include unplasticized vinyl, polypropylene, polyethylene and PET.

Rigid Sleeves

Rigid uPVC is primarily used for coins, currency, and cards. Most trading card sleeves, currency sleeves and coin holder flips on the market today are made from uPVC, or unplasticized vinyl. uPVC exhibits excellent clarity and rigidity. It is not, however, considered archival and will deteriorate when exposed to heat or light. PET, a polyester material known for its archival properties lacks the same rigidity of similar thickness uPVC film but is a more suitable choice for those seeking a long-term storage solution.

Soft Sleeves and Bags

We also make soft sleeves and bags of the type commonly used for currency, trading cards and comic books. These bags are typically made from Polypropylene (PP), PET or Polyethylene (PE), with PP being the most common material used for comic book bags. Each of these materials has different properties as well as pros and cons that we will be happy to discuss with you.

Minimum Quantities

Minimum Quantities (MOQ) can vary dramatically depending on the nature of your request and material specifications. In most cases the minimum order quantity for fully customized film specifications is significant and can run upwards of 50,000 to 500,000 units. However, it is often the case that we can combine custom runs with production for our stock products, which allows us to quote amazing prices at significantly lower MOQs.
